PV Sindhu Wins Bronze, Creates History And Becomes First Indian Woman To win Two Individual Olympic medals
New Delhi: PV Sindhu Created history by winning Bronze medal in Badminton women’s singles event at Tokyo Olympics. She becomes first Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals. In today’s Bronze medal match Sindhu beat He Bing Jiao of China 21-13, 21-15 in two straight games.
This is Sindhu’s second Olympic medal as she had won Silver medal in Rio Olympics 2016. Now India has two athletes who have won two individual Olympic medals.
In the past, Wrestler Sushil kumar had won Bronze in 2008 and Silver in 2012 Olympics. This is India’s second medal at Tokyo Olympics, so far, third medal has been assured by Boxer Lovlina in women’s Boxing by reaching the Semi Final she will get the Bronze even if she loses in the next bout, but she has a chance to win Silver or Gold medal also.
Yesterday, World Champion P V Sindhu totally outclassed by her opponent, Tai Tzu-Ying of Chinese Taipei in the Semi Final.
