If media reports are to be believed then this actor is the richest comedian in India as he has an astonishing net worth of Rs 490 crore. Brahmanandam was born on February 1, 1956, in Palem village of Sattenapally, Chaganti, Andhra Pradesh. Many may not know that his father was a carpenter by profession. His family was low on cash during their childhood and had to live like any lower middle class and very often poverty-stricken.

As Brahmanandam rose up, he was a Telugu lecturer by profession having obtained his master's degree in Arts at Attili in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. Apart from being a teacher, he had a keen interest in theatre as well as mimicry. He made his first entry on the television scene in 1985 along with DD Telugu's Pakapakalu.

Fast forwarding to date the legendary Brahmanandam had a phenomenal 35 years of presence in Indian cinema, acting in over 1,000 films. Brahmanandam earns most of his income through roles and also endorsements and several other ventures that earn him more than Rs 2 crore.
