FIR Filed Against Five in Greater Noida BDS Student Case, Two Taken for Questioning
After a case of alleged suicide by a BDS student in a private university in Greater Noida, ADCP Sudhir Kumar reported that five individuals have been booked under this case and two of them have been detained so that they can be questioned.
After a case of alleged suicide by a BDS student in a private university in Greater Noida, ADCP (Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police) Sudhir Kumar reported that five individuals have been booked under this case and two of them have been detained so that they can be questioned.
"FIR has been lodged against 5 people. Investigation is being done...2 people have been taken into custody for questioning, they have not been arrested...Action will be taken on the basis of evidence", ADCP Sudhir Kumar told ANI. When the police official reached the hostel of the University, he found that a girl had died by committing suicide and accordingly the police took the postmortem of the body.

The event agitated the deceased relatives after which the university administration established a discussion between the relatives of the deceased and the university administration.
"Yesterday, a girl student of Sharda University died by suicide in the University hostel. Police received information about the same. Taking swift action, Police got the postmortem done. Her relatives were agitated with the University administration. So, a dialogue was facilitated between the University administration and them", Sudhir Kumar said.
After the dialogue, it was informed to the University administration to look into the issue so that instances like this are never repeated and the family members of the deceased left to her home village to observe the last rites of the deceased.
"So, a dialogue was facilitated between the University administration and them. The relatives are leaving with her body to their native village for the last rites. In the course of the dialogue, the University administration was told to have a procedure in place so that such incidents do not happen again, and that action should be taken against the culprits", he said.
A student of the second year studies of BDS stationed at a private university in Greater Noida supposedly committed suicide in her hostel room on Friday, said police.

On a written complaint raised by the family of the student, two members of the university staff were arrested on suspicion of the case.
On information, the team of police stationed at Knowledge Park station were present at the scene and they did preliminary investigations and handed the body over to be subjected to the process of post-mortem after they had completed the required formalities on inquest. The scene was also checked by forensic professionals and senior police officers.
In the meantime, a family member who identified himself as the brother to the victim claimed that his sister has been harassed by the faculty members thus driving her to such a drastic action.
"A week ago, a teacher blamed my sister for doing fake signatures of professors on her assignments. After which my father came to the university and talked to the administration, where he (father) was assured that his daughter would not be targeted. But despite that tomorrow the teacher mocked her by saying that 'she is an expert in doing signatures' and also threatened her with failing her in exams," he said.
