The maximum temperature charged around 39 degrees Celsius, while the estimated minimum temperature is said to be around 26 degrees Celsius.

Delhi's air quality index was recorded under the 'poor' category at 243-AQI, showing figures at 9 am on the Central Pollution Control Board.
Friday, said the weather office, will also be characterized by thunderstorm with rains for the capital city, with the forecasted minimum temperature expected to drop to about 24 degrees Celsius.
Heavy storm dusts were also reported from several locations within NCR, like Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, on Thursday.

According to the IMD, light rain or drizzle and an overall cloudy sky has also been forecast for April 12, 2012, in Delhi. The next few days will be clear for Delhi after that. Thursday's showers gave some relief from the scorching hot weather prevailing across Delhi.

In its latest forecast, the weather agency had said, "Under the influence of Western Disturbance; rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning, gusty/squally winds likely over Northwest India during 0th-11th April."

"As a result, prevailing heat wave conditions will decrease significantly from tomorrow, the 10th April," it added.
Delhi recorded its warmest April night in the last three years as the minimum temperature settled at 25.6 degrees Celsius-5.6 degrees above normal-as per IMD on Wednesday. However, once again this has now been broken on Thursday, with a minimum temperature reported of 26 degrees Celsius.
None of the years 2024 and 2023 had a minimum temperature in April that went close to reaching 25 degrees. With a maximum minimum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius in 2022, this was the record height for April.
