26/11 Accused Tahawwur Rana Extradited to India, Lands in Delhi: After coming from the United States, an accused in the Mumbai terror attack case, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, was successfully back to India on Thursday. He arrived at around 6.30 pm at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Key accused in the 26/11 attacks, Rana left the US on a special flight Wednesday, after his last-ditch efforts to evade extradition fell through. The 64-year-old was brought back by a team of the National Investigation Agency and the Research and Analysis Wing. Security has been beefed up outside Delhi's Patiala House Court, where Rana will be brought in soon according to an official.
On November 26, 2008, a group of 10 Pakistani terrorists went on a rampage, coordinated attacks on a railway station, two luxury hotels, and a Jewish centre after sneaking into India's financial capital using the sea route in the Arabian Sea. The rampage of nearly 60 hours took away lives of as many as 166 people.
Rana is a close associate of one of the main conspirators of the attacks, David Coleman Headley alias Daood Gilani, US citizen.

Sources said that 26/11 Mumbai attacks accused, Tahawwur Rana, was brought by Delhi Police safely from Delhi Airports terminal 4. The convoy is now currently in Dhaula Kuan.
Gate number two of Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Metro Station has been closed, and public movement has been restricted in the area as precautionary measures in light of the anticipated arrival of the key accused in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, Tahawwur Hussain Rana at the NIA headquarters.
A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) spokesperson said, "Gate No. 2 of the JLN Metro Station, the one closest to the NIA building, will remain closed as a precaution. The gate will remain closed till further orders from the Delhi Police."
However, the metro train services would continue as usual, and all other entry and exit points at the station will remain open for commuters, the spokesperson said.
