Delhi: Police have confirmed that a businessman missing from Tilak Nagar in West Delhi has been murdered in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh.
Sagar managed a leased hotel in Tilak Nagar, and since he left the premises, he has not returned home. The family doubted his disappearance and suspected foul play and, therefore, reported it to the police, thus registering an abduction case.
"Initial inquiry suggested that he had left his former employers last month and started his own business, which led to business enmity between him and his ex-employers. They are the primary suspects and teams are looking for them," a police source said.
The victim, namely Sagar, went missing on the 26th of March; it was also said that an abduction case was registered on the 30th of March after the family raised suspicion on his previous employers, who were also in the hotel business.

Investigation teams were formed to track the suspects through technical and manual surveillance. A number of individuals were interrogated, but the main suspects remain elusive with non-bailable warrants issued for them.
On March 27, Kandla police station in Shamli registered a murder case and Sagar's body was confirmed on April 2.
"The family members mentioned that he had left his hotel but never reached home. When the family raised suspicion on certain persons and that his life may be in danger, a case of abduction was registered in Tilak Nagar Police Station,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police , West, Vichitra Veer.
Delhi police, coordinating with their counterparts in UP, sent a team to Shamli along with Sagar's family. "The information is being actively shared for apprehending the accused," the officials said.
The senior official disclosed that several teams were assessing different sources of tracking through technical support and manual surveillance.

Keeping the family updated was also vital, he said, for a quick response in case of any inputs, as the suspects had been acquainted with the suspects for a long time.
“Many people have been rounded up during investigation. However, the main suspects have not been traced. Non-bailable warrants have also been issued against them,” the DCP said.
The police stated they were examining the CCTV footage, which informed them that he had left the premises but never returned home.
Following this, the police formed multiple teams to track the suspects through technical and manual surveillance.
Confirmation of Sagar's body led to immediate dispatch of a team from Tilak Nagar Police Station along with family of the victim to assist in the investigation.
Several arrests have been made for questioning and, according to police, the main suspects are still at large.
