Case registered against Associate Professor of DU for making controversial statement against Shivling
A case has been registered under Section 153A/295A of IPC and investigation has been started.
Regarding the issue of Shivling found in Gyanvapi Mosque of Varanasi, Delhi University (DU) Associate Professor Ratan Lal made a controversial comment on his Facebook regarding Shivling. In this case, on the complaint of a social worker, an FIR has been registered in the Cyber Cell police station of North district under sections of malicious acts and hurting religious sentiments.
This remark of the professor is being criticized a lot on the internet media. An FIR has been registered on the complaint of Shivam Bhalla, a resident of Model Town. Northern District DCP Sagar Singh Kalsi said that a complaint was received against Ratan Lal, Associate Professor of History in Hindu College, for insulting religious sentiments by insulting religious beliefs.
Legal action has been initiated in this regard. Actually DU history professor Dr. Ratan Lal shared the photo of Shivling found in Gyanvapi on his Facebook on Tuesday and made controversial remarks on it. .
