Army Jawan Killed, Two Injured in Landmine Blast Along LoC in J&K's Poonch
To validate the death of the soldier, the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army took to X to express condolence over the death of the soldier.
One jawan was killed and two injured at a landmine at the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir in Poonch on Friday.
The white knight troops of the Indian Army resorted to X to express condolences to the death of the soldier and said, "#GOC #WhiteKnightCorps and all ranks pay solemn tribute to Agniveer Lalit Kumar of 7 JAT Regiment, who made the supreme sacrifice, while on an area domination patrol in general area of #Krishna Ghati brigade on 25 July 2025, following a mine blast. We stand with the bereaved family in this hour of grief."

During Operation Sindoor Pakistan has tried to retaliate against India with a military action but, faced cross border shelling in Line of Control.
A month ago, army troops opened fire when they detected a suspicious traffic in a forward position along LoC in the Rajouri district. The searches were also carried out by the security agencies at over a dozen locations in Poonch and Samba districts as well as in Kathua district.
The officials added that the troops noticed the suspicious movement of three to four persons in dense foliage of the Chingus area of the Kiri sector in Rajouri in the morning hours.
After that, the troops discharged over a couple of dozens of shots and did a search operation and launched drones at the same time. Nevertheless, the targeted individuals were not tracked.
Special operations combined of local police force, CRPF and Rashtriya Rifles initiated search activities in various places of Poonch region to include Surankote and Mendhar regions.
Some of these operations were carried out in Sari, Ustan, Pathankhor, Lohar Mohalla, Chandimarh, Phagal, Hari top and Kaagwali in surankote, Limba, and Ucchad and Kallar-Gursai in Mendhar but no person was arrested, they said.

The valley is experiencing heavy deployment of security with an annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage under way.
On Wednesday, during a top-level joint meeting chaired by the Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, security plans to secure the upcoming Budha Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, Poonch, were discussed.
In Poonch, the 13-day-long pilgrimage to Budha Amarnath, will start on July 28, at the base comprising of Bhagwati Nagar, in Jammu, which will end on August 9.
The district police lines in Poonch was also visited by DGP Nalin Prabhat, Special DGP Javaid Gillani, IGP Bhimsen Tuti and IG CRPF Gopal K Rao, who conducted a joint security review of the proposed yatra in the district with the officers of Rajouri and Poonch, they said.
