World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) took to X to express the grief over Hogan's passing. "WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans," it posted.
Hogan had major heart surgery in June, US Weekly reported.
WWE Hall of Famer Kane tweeted about Hogan.
On X Kane said, "Hulk Hogan was a true legend. I was fortunate to work with him a couple of times, including this memorable one."
"It was easy to do a Hulkster impersonation when, like millions of guys my age, I'd practiced it in the mirror a thousand times growing up. #RIPHULKHOGAN," the wrestler said in his post, which included a video of the pair.

Hogan was first inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 but was removed in 2015 after a sex tape was leaked by Gawker and included him making racist remarks while being secretly recorded. He won a lawsuit against Gawker and received a big settlement that led to the outlet going bankrupt. In 2020 Hogan was re-inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the NWO alongside wrestling legends Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.
Despite his later years being marred by scandal and health issues Hogan was a giant in the world of sports entertainment- both literally and culturally.
