Kejriwal's security personnel overpowered the person before he could be bulked into a major incident.

Said the AAP, "This is the law and order situation after the attack. If a former CM cannot be safe in the capital, where will the common man go? Delhi is facing a complete law and order breakdown under BJP's rule."

Kejriwal had suffered many kinds of attacks earlier. Back in 2016, he was attacked with ink during a condolence meeting of a local AAP leader in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Kejriwal entered politics in 2013 and has faced so many such attacks since then.
Kejriwal did a vigorous padyatra campaigning for the elections in Delhi in 2025 but at the same time trying to raise the public awareness on the AAP agenda. The padyatra is taken as one of the major parts of his campaigning where he targets but actually mingles with a cross-section of the people in the city.
On the campaign day Friday, Kejriwal also made the announcement that applications for women's monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 under the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana' would be opened very soon. Besides this, he accused BJP of not providing some critical services like uninterrupted power supply, quality health care, or well-equipped schools despite ruling in 22 states of India.
