Amit Shah Cites Pakistani Voter IDs & Chocolate Wrappers as Proof in Pahalgam Terrorists’ Origin
Amit Shah explained that evidence was available in Pakistani voter identification number as well as the wrappers of Pakistani manufactured chocolate on the dead militants.
The voter identification cards and wrappers of the chocolate taken by the terrorists who were killed are of made in Pakistan and this was said by the union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday. This was in answer to a question to the leader of the opposition in the Congress, P Chidambaram about the source of terrorists killed in the recent operation Sindoor in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
In his speech in Lok Sabha during monson session Shah added that the Centre had concrete evidence that proved that Pakistan was the origin of the militants. He said the evidence also contained voter identification numbers in Pakistan and the wrappers of the Pakistani made chocolates found on slain militants.
Slamming Chidambaram directly, Shah added, “Pakistan ko bacha kar aapko kya milega? (What will you achieve from saving Pakistan?).” Follow Parliament session live.
The home minister said, "Yesterday they (Congress) were asking us where the terrorists came from and who was responsible for it. Of course, it is our responsibility as we are in power. Yesterday, former home minister Chidambaram ji raised the question — what is the proof that the terrorists came from Pakistan? I want to ask him what he will get by saving Pakistan. When he says this, it means they are giving a clean chit to Pakistan..." Shah told the House.
The remarks were after he confirmed how we had killed three terrorists of Pahalgam on Monday, Suleman, Afghan and Jibran. According to him, the mission was carried out on accurate intelligence.

What was stated by P Chidambaram
Such political controversy was caused by the words offered by Chidambaram before policy on Operation Sindoor was discussed in the parliament of India as the reaction to the brutal murder of 26 civilians in Baisaran valley.
The Congress leader has been saying in an interview that the terrorists might be homegrown and has been requesting to be shown any evidence that the terrorists are connected to Pakistan.
He as also criticised the Centre on the grounds of not being transparent on the operation.
