Amit Shah Bihar Visit, Claims Third Term for PM Modi Will Eradicate Casteism.

Amit Shah Bihar Visit: Amit Shah, union home minister, said Monday that a third term for PM Modi would mean a departure from caste divisions and the beginning of merit-based politics in Bihar.

As Shah warned against the opposition INDIA bloc in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, he referred to it as an arrogant coalition (ghamandiya gathbandhan).

BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addresses a public meeting for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

An INDIA bloc victory, "even by mistake", would lead to a scramble for the prime ministerial post among alliance leaders, the BJP leader warned at a rally in Jhanjharpur.

According to Shah, leaders like M K Stalin, Sharad Pawar, Lalu Prasad and Mamata Banerjee may agree to a year each of premiership, and "Rahul Baba will have to settle for what is left."

Even if this ‘ghamandiya gathbandhan’ gets elected, who will be the prime minister? Among the opposition ranks, Amit Shah believed there was a leadership deficit, pointing out that Lalu Yadav could not be PM, Stalin and Mamata Banerjee could not handle this nation.

"Can you even think about Rahul Baba?" he added, referring to Wayanad MP and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

Modi wants to take the entire country, including Bihar, into the modern age, while RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav wants to keep the state in the 'Laalten Yug'.

Laalten, or lantern, the RJD's poll symbol, is often portrayed as a symbol of darkness by the BJP.

According to the senior BJP leader, India wants a "mazboot" (strong) prime minister, not a "majboor" (weak) one.

The opposition has accused the government of misusing central agencies. Shah has said, "Should there not be action against the corrupt? Whoever is found guilty of swindling money meant for the poor people of the country must be imprisoned."
