Case Registered After Viral Video Doctored Amit Shah Remarks on Reservation.
Viral Video Doctored Amit Shah Remarks on Reservation: After the Ministry of Home Affairs filed a complaint, the Delhi Police lodged an FIR over the circulation of a doctored video of Amit Shah's speech on social media, showing Shah advocating for the abolition of reservation quotas for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has filed a complaint seeking action against those responsible for the video, which has sparked controversy and allegations of misinformation.
Several sections of the IPC and relevant provisions of the IT Act have been registered by the Special Cell.
Several doctored videos are being circulated on social media with the intent of creating disharmony among communities that could adversely affect public tranquility and order, according to Sinku Sharan Singh, DC, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C).

"Congress is spreading an edited video which is completely fake and has the potential to cause large-scale violence. Home Minister Amit Shah spoke about removing the unconstitutional reservation given to Muslims, on the basis of religion, after reducing the share of SCs/STs and OBCs. This fake video has been posted by several Congress spokespersons. They must be prepared for legal consequences," Mr Malviya said on Saturday.
It became clear that the video was doctored as a number of social media accounts, including those affiliated with the Congress, posted it claiming that it revealed the BJP's "agenda to abolish SC/ST reservation quotas".
