"His sensorium is similar with spontaneous eye opening and spontaneous limb movements but there is still no meaningful eye contact or recognition of family members," the hospital said in a health update.
The boy is waking on verbal stimulus but not following any oral commands. He is tolerating feeds via nasogastric tube well and has been afebrile for the last three days, the hospital said.
Amid the tragedy, Bhaskar acknowledged the financial and emotional support extended by Pushpa star Allu Arjun. The actor provided ₹10 lakh to the family and ensured assistance from his team from the second day of the incident. The film's production house and Telangana Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also stepped in to help.
Leading film producer and Film Development Corporation (FDC) chairman Dil Raju who visited the boy on Tuesday said he would ensure that the family gets support from the film industry and also the government.
He said he is ready to provide a permanent job to Bhaskar in the film industry if he is interested. But, the immediate priority is the boy's recovery.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has also appreciated the idea of providing a job to Bhaskar, Dil Raju said.
Referring to reports that the state government is not addressing the concerns of the film industry in the stampede issue, he said the CM has assured of the government's support.
A delegation from the film industry would meet the chief minister in a day or two, Dil Raju said, adding that he would coordinate with the film fraternity and the government to ensure cordial ties.
When asked about his willingness to withdraw the complaint filed after the incident, Bhaskar clarified that it was not due to pressure but because of the genuine support he received from Allu Arjun's team.
The Pushpa 2 stampede has not only left a family grieving but has also highlighted the need for stricter safety measures during public events. As fans rally around the grieving family, the industry's efforts to provide support signal hope amidst the chaos.
For now, the focus remains on Sritej's recovery as his story becomes a poignant reminder of the importance of safety and compassion in times of tragedy.
