Allu Arjun Criticized by Congress MLC Over Fan’s Death During Pushpa 2 Premiere
The stampede at the inaugural of Pushpa 2: The Rule is a tragedy making innumerous waves among Telangana leaders and celebrities.

Pushpa 2: The stampede at the inaugural of Pushpa 2: The Rule is a tragedy making innumerous waves among Telangana leaders and celebrities. A day after questioning Allu Arjun about the incident, Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi were hit by the latest MLC Venkat Balmoor who took to calling out the actor for demanding atonement of the tragedy on his part.
In a video on his X account, the member of the Legislative Council of the Telugu Desam Party said that while he admitted that the stampede resulting in the loss of life of a woman and injury to her young son was unfortunate, the subsequent allusion made by Allu Arjun in his statement just did not go with the sentiment attached to the circumstances.

It was on December 4 that Allu Arjun was present at the Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad, attending the premiere of Pushpa 2. With virtually all of his fans rushing towards his presence, a stampede happened as a result. According to Venkat, the press conference on the previous day had failed the test of genuineness in human empathy toward the disaster victims.
“I had hoped that your press conference was out of repentance,” Venkat said in the video. “But despite knowing about the tragedy at the theatre, you denied your involvement, and even after learning about it the next day, you were seen bursting firecrackers. When people die, showing some empathy for the victim’s family is essential.”
Venkat scorned Arjun for also adding that it was pride for the Telugu people. It should never cost lives, according to the MLC. Venkat demanded an apology from the actor and called on him to engage in reflection over his actions. The true leader stands with his people in sorrow.
But this political controversy raised across the file is further sparked up by the accusations of Akbaruddin Owaisi and CM Revanth Reddy that Allu Arjun was well aware of the stampede going on at the premiere, yet showed no sign of understanding towards the sharpness of the situation. In fact, he has stated that Arjun would not leave the theatre which had to be removed by the police on account of contrary situation, ignoring the dead.

An emotional Allu Arjun faced the media and spoke about the matter on a Saturday evening press meet on allegations. He denied the charges and said, “This is a low point in my life. I have a child of the same age as the victim in the coma. As a father, I understand the pain the family is going through.” Nevertheless, his emotional defenses could not help quell the growing fury.
The said incident, led to the actor's arrest on December 13 but was granted interim bail the following day. His very highly publicized visit to Sandhya Theatre, along with co-star Rashmika Mandanna, on December 4, proved fatal when the crowd overran all areas and choked into the theatre, leading to a stampede.
This incident raises a critical point about the dilemma concerning the safety of huge-assembled people at all events, especially events with celebrities. While Allu Arjun is seen righteously sinless, the death was the subject of inimitable debate about the responsibilities of public figures in such occasions and their responses towards unexpected tragedies.
