Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Denied Access to Ambience Mall Lift: Deepinder Goyal was in his Zomato delivery uniform and upon entering the mall to take the lift, he was stopped by the security guard who directed him to take the stairs to deliver the order.

Zomato CEO Gurugram mall news: Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal denied lift access to Gurugram when he was going to pick up an order on Sunday. This forced the Zomato CEO to take the stairs to pick up the order from a restaurant.
A video of the Zomato CEO Ambience Mall incident was shared by Goyal on his official X handle.
The whole incident began when Deepinder Goyal and her wife Grecia Munoz dressed as delivery partners to deliver a food order at Ambience Mall to understand the problems faced by delivery agents.
Deepinder Goyal was in his Zomato delivery uniform and upon entering the mall to take the lift, he was stopped by the security guard who directed him to take the stairs to deliver the order.
After making sure that there was no access to elevators for the delivery partners. Deepinder Goyal food order was supposed to be delivered to the third floor of the Ambience Mall. However, Goyal climbed to the third floor and found out that delivery agents aren’t allowed in the mall and they have to wait for their orders on the stairs.

In the video shared by the Deepinder Goyal on X, he wrote, “During my second order, I realised that we need to work with malls more closely to improve working conditions for all delivery partners. And malls also need to be more humane to delivery partners. What do you think?”
In an another tweet, Deepinder Goyal wrote, “Ambience Mall has already responded to the situation, and created a comfortable online food delivery pick up point for all delivery partners. Thanks Arjun (owner of Ambience) for noticing my post and taking quick action. He’s also agreed to let us deploy some “walkers” inside the mall to quickly shuttle the food from the restaurant to these pickup points to hand over the food to delivery partners.”
He further added, “I urge all the other mall owners to please do the same, or come up with other innovative solutions which can help our collective customers, our delivery partners, restaurants, delivery aggregators, as well as malls themselves.”
He also spends valuable time with his fellow delivery partners and gathered feedback.
