YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra Knew Her Pakistani Contacts Were ISI Operatives, Say Police
According to sources, Jyoti Malhotra had been in contact with four Pakistani intelligence operatives and was speaking to them in one-to-one formats.

Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra understood that the Pakistani officials she was dealing with were connected to the Inter-Services Intelligence, Pakistan's infamous spy agency, but she had no fear. This has been revealed now in Haryana Police's investigation into the digital devices of the 33-year-old YouTuber, who is arrested for a spying operation for Pakistan.
Jyoti Malhotra was in contact with four Pakistani intelligence agents and was speaking to them directly. These included Danish, whom she met during her time visiting the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, as well as Ahsan and Shahid. The investigation is now trying to confirm their designations and job titles within the Pakistan security establishment.
Before, the police had seized Jyoti Malhotra's digital devices that included a phone and laptop. Although many messages and other information were deleted, police were still able to recover a huge 12 TB of data, which is now being searched for further leads in the case. The data evidence indicates that Jyoti Malhotra was well aware that she was speaking to ISI officials initially but she was not scared and maintained contact.
A travel vlogger on YouTube, has been charged under the Official Secrets Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section on acts endangering India's unity, sovereignty and integrity. Sources amongst the investigators have said the data obtained from electrical devices recovered from Jyoti Malhotra, could lead to obtaining further charges against her.
Previously, the excessive travels and expenses far greater than her reported income, had come under the scrutiny of police. Sources told that the Haryana Police could take the assistance of central agencies to further investigate the money trail of the YouTuber.
Jyoti Malhotra (with a YouTube channel amassing over four lakh subscribers) was arrested on 15th of May, a week after India had carried out airstrikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, as revenge over a terrorist attack on Pahalgam that killed 26 innocents. The YouTuber had just returned from high profiled trips to Pakistan and China and had engaged in extravagant spending whilst appearing at high-profile Pakistani events.
As it turns out, Jyoti Malhotra had been escorted by fully equipped men with AK-47 assault weapons in Pakistan. Evidently, a Scottish YouTuber's visit to Pakistan, was too an amazement to see her, before they both traversed into Anarkali Bazar bazaars in Lahore, was obstructed when upon seeing her security.

Callum Mill, who goes by Callum Abroad on YouTube, visited Pakistan in March. A video he captured while visiting Anarkali Bazar shows several individuals armed with guns, wearing jackets with "No Fear" emblazoned on them. Then Jyoti Malhotra, who was concurrently recording the video, makes an appearance. Callum introduces himself as a Scottish YouTuber and Jyoti asks whether it is his first visit to Pakistan. To this, Callum replies, "No, five times." She also asks him if he has been to India and introduces herself as India. When Callum asks what she thinks about Pakistan's hospitality, Jyoti replies, "It's great".
As Jyoti walks down the street, Callum feels a sudden realization that the armed men are with her. "She's the one with the guys, with all the security. I don't know why, what's the need for all the guns? Look at all the guns she has got surrounding her. There are six gunmen surrounding her," he says. In the Scottish YouTuber's video, there are also another couple of people who appeared to be tourists who were also with Jyoti Malhotra.
The police are investigating why Jyoti Malhotra was receiving such VIP treatment and security in Pakistan. The armed men in the Anarkali Bazar video were not in uniform but could be in plain clothes security personnel. The Haryana police are now trying to ascertain who was behind the security cover for Jyoti Malhotra.
