WhatsApp to Allow Instagram Profile Links: Soon, users would be able to add links to their accounts on their WhatsApp onto their Instagram profiles as a new forthcoming feature. This would make it easier for people to connect with one another within the Meta-space and eliminates any need for individual link exchanges.

A feature is being created by WhatsApp so that its users may link their accounts to their Instagram profile on the iOS version. According to a feature tracker, it will finish the process because it will further help them in keeping their social media profiles in one place for reaching out to their connections quickly.

As expected, this will feature linking into the profile settings, where users will connect to their Instagram handle and make it easy to network through different platforms. Thus, this feature might be beneficial for businesses, influencers, or content producers wishing to promote their Instagram profiles.

Although an official release date has not been confirmed by WhatsApp, the feature is apparently undergoing beta testing before final release. This is in keeping with Meta's push toward presenting a more cohesive digital experience through Instagram and WhatsApp.

WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature tracker, sources that the instant messaging app is working towards a feature that lets users include links to their Instagram profile. The reported observation was made in the WhatsApp for iOS beta app version 25.2.10.72 available through the TestFlight test program.

As already mentioned this version does not have the option yet. Now, this will introduce a new option in the Links section of the user profile interface. This new Add Links option will allow users to add their Instagram username by touching a plus icon in that section.

WhatsApp may extend its feature to allow adding links to other Meta accounts, like Facebook or Threads, but at the moment, it can only add Instagram. Whether or not the company will open up profile linking to social networking sites of its own, such as Snapchat or X.
