The green checkmark will be displayed next to the name of the business or channel. However, this checkmark will prove their authenticity and prevent users from getting scams.
WABetaInfo reported that the green checkmark will be changed to a blue color checkmark for authentic businesses. However, the bug check might be introduced in the WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.23.20.18.
However, WhatsApp focuses on making the checkmark look the same as the blue checkmark on Facebook and Instagram. Some beta users might already be able to see the blue checkmark.

This blue check mark is important for business as it is a sign of authenticity, letting users know that they are dealing with verified companies or channels.
The motive for introducing such an update is to increase user trust and lower the risk of being fake or getting scammed by unauthorized channels.
This blue checkmark hasn’t been out till now but is expected to launch in the coming weeks, only a few beta users can use it currently.
