Woman in Pakistan Attempts to Run Over Traffic Cop at Toll Plaza After Argument: In Pakistan's capital city, Islamabad, a woman tried to run over a traffic police officer.
In the video, the woman can be seen arguing with the traffic police personnel and taking offense to their language.
The policemen can be seen attempting to reason with her, but she refuses to listen. A police personnel was seen standing in front of the vehicle to stop her from running, but the woman just pressed her accelerator and attempted to run over the police personnel.
The cop somehow managed to jump on the side of the road and save his life.
“Respect kiya karein. Khabardaar jo bakwaas ki. Shut up. Aapne bohat kuch kahaa hai. Apne uniform ki respect kiya karein (Respect people. Don’t talk nonsense. You have said a lot of things. Respect your uniform),” she screamed.
On Wednesday, Rawalpindi Police announced that the woman absconded to avoid arrest after a case was filed at the Naseerabad Police Station on January 2.
After three months of the hit-and-run incident, the woman was arrested. Users on social media condemned her actions and urged authorities to take strict action.
“An influential woman rammed the traffic warden for stopping and issued a challan for overspeeding," an X user named Rubab Hayat said in Urdu.
Social media users in Pakistan expressed anger at the woman and called for strict action against her.
A user tagged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and human rights lawyer Amjad Malik and said that "a case of premeditated murder should be filed by the state and no amnesty should be granted."
Another user added, “Some people are an epitome of arrogance; these individuals can’t ever be groomed by all the education, elitism and the unlimited riches they have."
