Vettaiyan box office collection day 8: The Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan starrer film ‘Vettaiyan’ recorded a drop in collection on the first day of the second week. However, fans are very excited to see Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan portrayed in one film after 33 years.
Sacnilk reported that the Tamil action drama film earned over 3.15 crore on Thursday, October 18 at the domestic box office. This shows the performance of the film on the second weekend in theatres.
As per the reports, the total earnings of the film in India is over Rs 122.10 crore including all languages, and is slowly getting closer to the Rs 150 crore mark.

On October 17, the Tamil version of the film ‘Vettaiyan’ recorded an overall occupancy of 16.79% while the Telugu version had an overall occupancy of 14.40%.
The collection of the film dropped during the weekends because of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu and other places, thus affecting theatre occupancy.
Upon its release, the film made a huge earning at the box office and made over Rs 104.7 crore during the weekends thus achieving the Rs 100 core mark.

On Monday, the film collection dropped significantly thus making only Rs 5.6 crore and Rs 4.3 each on Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, the film collected only Rs 3.15 crore on Thursday. Thus, the earnings of the film are decreasing day by day.
The film ‘Vettaiyan’ is directed by TJ Gnanavel and was released on October 10th. The film features famous stars such as Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh in lead roles.
The film story is about an investigative plot, investigating the truths about a drug cartel. In the film, a government teacher informs the police about a drug trade which leads to further investigation to find out more about the crime world.
