The scheme aims to address the issue of soldiers posted in far flung areas who are unable to follow up on legal cases involving property, domestic disputes. Now NALSA will intervene to ensure that such cases are properly represented in courts.

The initiative addresses a long pending problem of soldiers deployed in remote areas who are unable to pursue personal legal matters like family property disputes or domestic issues. Under the programme NALSA will ensure representation of such cases in courts across the country, not just for armed forces personnel but also for paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF and ITBP.

Justice Surya Kant inspired by the sacrifices made during Operation Sindoor said “the legal fraternity must step in to safeguard the interests of those who defend the nation.”
