Trump vs Harris: Pollsters Weigh In On Who Holds the Edge in Tight US Election Race

US election 2024 Trump vs Harris: Karnataka's chief minister, Siddaramaiah, said on Monday that the BJP's protest against the Congress government over the Waqf problem was just politics. A few farmers in some parts of Karnataka said that their land was marked as Waqf property. On Monday, the BJP held a protest across the whole state, calling the Congress government "land jihad."

"BJP never gets into real fights over issues; they just make up lies and protest for political reasons." What's the matter? As a former chief minister and BJP MP, Basavaraj Bommai had said that all encroached Waqf land had to be returned. But now, for political reasons, he is coming out against it," Siddaramaiah said.

In an interview with reporters here, he said that the BJP is "taking this issue forward and fighting" for political reasons. But people know that the Waqf property issue is not new, and notices have been served under all governments, including the BJP. "After holding a meeting, I made it very clear that any notices sent to farmers should be revoked right away, and any changes made to land records without proper notice should also be thrown out." "Farmers should not be kicked out for any reason, whether they are Muslims, Hindus, Christians, or anyone else," he said.

On Saturday, the Chief Minister told officials that all warnings sent to farmers should be revoked right away. He also said that any changes made to land records without permission or due notice should also be thrown out. There have been claims from some farmers in Vijayapura district that their land was marked as Waqf property. Similar claims have also been made from other places. The chief minister said that the BJP's plan to protest was "just politics," since the government had already told officials to take back all warnings sent to farmers and promised that none of them would be kicked out.

Siddaramaiah said that the notices were revoked soon after he learned about them and not because the BJP told them to. He also asked, "They had issued notices in 216 cases when (B S) Yediyurappa, (D V) Sandanada Gowda, Jagadish Shettar (of BJP), and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy were CM, why did they do it now?"

A question was asked about Prathap Simha's alleged claim that he had become a Muslim in order to attack Siddaramaiah over the Waqf problem. In response, Siddaramaiah said, "What else do you expect from a communal person?" He doesn't care about the law or democracy. His job is to do things that bring people together, and his politics are to divide people based on religion and caste."
