Rahul Gandhi Takes Swipe at PM Modi in Wayanad: ‘Bored of Him’

Rahul Gandhi PM Modi Wayanad remark: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was present in Kerala's Wayanad on Sunday during a campaign for his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. In his speech, he said that he wouldn't talk about Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "we are bored of him."

While addressing the crowd, Rahul Gandhi said that Priyanka Gandhi had already talked about PM Modi. He said, "And, anyway, she has already mentioned Mr. Modi and we are all bored of him... then why mention him twice.”

Priyanka Gandhi said that PM Modi favors the needs of big businesses more compared to the people of the country.

Rahul Gandhi said he would speak with the people of Wayanad as he spoke with his family.

Congress MP said, "In this meeting, I have a choice in front of me to either give a political message or a speech I would give to my family members. I would rather speak to you like I speak to my family. I would like to give a speech more about the candidate herself.”

Gandhi added, "My sister has always been a campaigner. She never stood for election. That should tell you something about her character.”

Rahul Gandhi and his sister shared their childhood memories of how they used to fight to see who could take better pictures with the camera that their father had given them.

He added, "I still don't remember who won the competition... ok... she (Priyanka) is now saying that I won.”

He also added that Priyanka has matured from the little girl who liked to take pictures.

The Opposition leader said, "She understands that the beauty is that everyone has millions and millions of labels, every single person is unique, everything is unique - someone might see weakness, she'll see strength - that is my sister.”

Rahul Gandhi further added that she can play more roles than him.
