Tamannaah Bhatia on Feeling Stressed Doing ‘Aaj Ki Raat’: Tamannaah, the fabulous beauty performed in the special song called Aaj Ki Raat, in Stree 2, which features Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and many others; the movie which broke many records after its release in August till date.

Recently, in an interview with Grazia India the actor discussed her decision not to get typecast and also shared her thoughts on Stree 2 cameo.

Tamannaah Bhatia – who was dancing happily with Rajinikanth on the floor with Kaavaalaa song from the movie Jailer released in 2023 said she now questions whether she would be able to ‘follow on what he has done’ in Stree 2 song.

She said, “On the heels of Kaavaalaa’s success, doing the song for Stree 2 felt very risky. I thought, ‘Will I be able to top what I’ve already done?’"

This song called Kaavaalaa was released and was accepted all around the world; the song still features most social media users. We know the answer to that question but let me ask it anyway. Why did Tamannaah agree to do Aaj Ki Raat? She said that it was the film directed by Amar Kaushik who made her confident to agree for the song.

"But when Amar (Kaushik) met me and said, ‘I have this song for you, and it’s actually very crucial to the storyline,’ I just instinctively knew I had to do it," Tamannaah added.

In the same interview, Tamannaah said that even if the short roles were offered to her and they came at a turning point in the story she was ready to do them.

She said that she had a period in her career where people categorised her as the ‘girl-next-door’ so she took roles no one expected of her. The actor said she never concentrated on the length of the part and all she ‘wanted was for people to remember her’.

Perhaps one of the best features in the Stree, released in 2018, which received a lot of attention soon after its release, was the song Kamariya performed by the beautiful Nora Fatehi.

And years later she did it again with Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2 having already crossed 200Million views on YouTube. It also features Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana and Stree 2 has now earned over ₹500 crore in India within 19 days of the movie’s release.

Tamannaah’s last release was Vedaa which also got released around the time when Stree 2 is releasing. This had been produced by Nikkhil Advani with its lead actors being John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh.
