The student has been in the news for quite a while now, as months later after the movie release; it was reported that in a film called Amaran, its leading actress Sai was causing a disturbance to a student by getting romantic with a character played by Sivakarthikeyan. At some point during the movie, Sai flips a crumpled note with her cellular digits imprinted, at the hero. The number in real life however is claimed by Vaageesan to be his and since it is connected to all his documents starting from Aadhar and even bank statements, it is not easy to dispose off.
He explained that there is a very long story how he got that call and even why all those people were calling him that day. However, after Amaran was released on October 31, the student was having fun and celebrating Diwali with his family, when on a particular day, calls began coming in requesting to speak to Sai. At first he didn’t understand why he was getting calls to such an extent, but when the calls became numerous, he understood that he was the one whose contact number was shown in the movie. In this respect, he is asking for ₹1.1 crore for “untold hardships and mental agony”. Further, he has demanded the removal of this phone number from the picture on an urgent basis.
As he recounted to the publication, ever since the release of the film, he has not been able to ‘sleep, study or do simple things without disturbance’. Although he tried to address the situation by making posts on the social media, tagging the film’s director Rajkumar Periyasamy and the lead actor Sivakarthikeyan, they did not respond to his appeal.
