SpiceJet Flight Delay: Kolkata to Bengaluru Passengers Stranded at Airport

SpiceJet Flight Delay: The reports also stated that the passengers were not offered any facilities, no food or water were offered to the passengers, even no refunds or alternative flights were arranged.

SpiceJet Flight Delay: SpiceJet flight SG 8531which travels from Bengaluru to Kolkata was delayed by several hours on Sunday causing huge problems for the passengers.

As per the reports SpiceJet Flight SG 8531 was set to leave the Kempegowda International Airport at 11:05 a.m. but was delayed by more than 8 hours which made the passengers angry as they had to wait for several hours at the airport for the plane.

Due to the flight being late, several passenger’s important work was interrupted and later on also led to huge arguments with the airport staff.

Several videos went viral on the internet showing a huge crowd of passengers waiting at the airport and arguing with the airport ground staff.

The reports also stated that the passengers were not offered any facilities, no food or water were offered to the passengers, even no refunds or alternative flights were arranged.

The passengers also said that they were not allowed to take their luggage back.

After 8-hour delays, the SpiceJet flight SG 8531 left Kempegowda International Airport at 7 in the evening Several passengers expressed their dissatisfaction on social media.

One user named Ambdull Ki Bamkrii wrote about his frustration on X, Ambdull Ki Bamkrii wrote, “@DGCAIndia @flyspicejet @mohol_murlidhar Just endured a ridiculously long delay on @flyspicejet flight SG8532 at kolkata. No food or water for passengers, only a refund and no alternative flights. Complete lack of clear information. This is unacceptable!”

Another passenger named Amitabha Saha wrote on X, “Flying in SpiceJet is a nightmare. My daughters flight has been rescheduled 5 times today from 2 PM to now 10 PM and yet whenever I am calling them they say they can not help as it is an operational reason.”

“My daughter has an exam tomorrow morning for which she has to take rest to be in a proper shape. Now all that is gone. My repeated request and to speaking to spicejet has not given me any solution.”

He further said, “I am asking for full refund so that I can book her in a different flight is also not getting facilitated as they are saying it is the agents job. It is a terrible situation and even after tagging DGCA & PMO there is no help or solution to my problem.”

“I am helpless and have no clue how to at least get my refund and book another flight. A country wanting to become viksit bharat cannot afford to do this to its citizens.”

The official said that the SpiceJet flight SG 8531was delayed because the operating plane arrived late in Bengaluru

The Hindu reported that a SpiceJet spokesperson apologizing to the passengers said, SpiceJet flight SG 8531 from Bengaluru to Kolkata on July 7 has been delayed due to the late arrival of the operating aircraft into Bengaluru.

“The delay resulted from a technical issue encountered during the aircraft’s previous rotation in Delhi, which was promptly addressed before its departure for Bengaluru.”

A day earlier another SpiceJet flight from New Delhi to Bengaluru was delayed by 12 hours which caused huge dissatisfaction to the passengers.
