Sonam Kapoor’s Radiant Ghagra Set: Sonam Kapoor and along with her husband, Anand Ahuja attended Mukesh Ambani Ganesh Darshan at Antilia in Mumbai which was organised on September 7.

Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor with time has turned into quite the fashionista that many aspire to become. With a round neck and heavy work on the body, the red ghagra set was made from crushed silk and was created by the masters Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

The silhouette included a ghagra skirt teamed with backless blouse with heavy work of latkans beads. The blouse was modernised by the latkans and the matching dupatta kept things traditional.

Designing apparels which are timeless yet still carving out proper niche in the context of the future, the show stoppers, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla leave yet another wonderful creation. A few decades ago, they introduced crushed silk in India and, three and a half decades later, they brought the fabric back for Sonam Kapoor’s appearance at Antilia.

The ability to make any creation timeless called few designers, but nobody can deny that the return of the debut crushed silk line by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla proved their success. The floral fabric associated with the richness ofy silk gives a 1950s luxurious feel that complements Sonam’s delicate looks while highlighting the design skills of the designers in the1960s-style-cut gown.

Although the theme is minimalist this pattern is both appropriate for the holiday season and stylish to the core. One thing that has not changed about Sonam Kapoor is that she loves to bring in an element of drama in her look. The drama is in the form of the long dupatta worn improperly over the sari and only on Sonam’s right side, hence, falling behind her when she is in motion.

The alta on her feet was bright red which was complemented with traditional bangle like anklets, braids were dressed with accessories, everything very well conceptualized by celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor.

The detailing in Sonam’s outfit was rich and the earrings that she wore, rubies, pearls, and diamonds by Amrapali Jewels was exquisite and timeless looking yet highly sophisticated.
