As per Sacnilk, going by what Sky Force did with ₹149 crore worldwide in its lifetime, Sikandar has indeed fared much better in box office collections, but nowhere near the collection that the highest-gross fever for this year, Chhaava, with Vicky Kaushal in the lead, is raking in, with collections close to ₹800 crore worldwide till now after release on February 14, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal starrer L2 Empuraan that was released on March 27 grossed ₹174 crore in 4 days. However, Sikandar did better than Salman-starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which had collected ₹126 crore worldwide in 4 days and ₹184.6 crore in total gross.
The film tells the story of Sanjay Rajkot (Salman), known affectionately as Sikandar, who is otherwise known for his compassion and empathy.
