Sanju Samson Break Records: During Tuesday's match against Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson was among the top-five run scorers of the Indian Premier League.
In a knock that included eight fours and six maximums, Samson fell for 86 off 46 balls.
The top four players in the tally are Kolkata Knight Riders' Sunil Narine, Chennai Super Kings' Ruturaj Gaikwad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli, and Sunrisers Hyderabad's Travis Head.
Whenever the Indian Premier League (IPL) season approaches, a lot of attention is paid to the players who score the most number of runs in the season, thus earning the Orange Cap.
Shubman Gill, the current captain of the Gujarat Titans, won the Orange Cap with 890 runs last season.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis came in second with 730 points, followed by Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672 points. RCB's Virat Kohli was fourth with 639 points while Yashasvi Jaiswal ranked fifth with 625 points.
Moreover, Sanju Samson became the first Indian to hit 200 sixes in the IPL.
Having reached the milestone in only 159 innings, he has surpassed MS Dhoni's 200th six, which he hit in 165 innings.
He is the 10th batter in IPL history to hit 200 or more sixes, behind Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suresh Raina.
