Sanjay Roy to Undergo Polygraph Test: Police said the key accused in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, Sanjay Roy will be made to undergo a lie detector test on Sunday. He has not pleaded any guilty to any crime and has always reminded the court that he is being framed.
According to TOI, Roy said, “I have not committed any crime. I am being framed. Maybe the polygraph test will prove that.”
On Friday, a special court in Kolkata agreed that polygraph test could be carried out on Roy. Earlier, the multi - specialist team of experts of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Delhi has started the polygraph test of former Barasat College principal Sanjay Roy under the conspiracy plot and 5 other persons including him.
Roy’s arrest involved some content from the CCTV tapes and Bluetooth next to the body of the lady. Roy, a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police since 2019, was seen going into the seminar hall where the body was found.

On the same note former students of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital claimed corruption and other malpractices through a tainted ex-principal Sandip Ghosh. Some of the allegations include offering of political appointees’ slots in exchange for bribes and withdrawal of registrations of those who had reported maladministration.
The court has also allowed to conduct the lie-detection tests with Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of the medical college, and four doctors that were on duty in night of August of 8th – 9th.

Accused Sanjay Roy's sister reacted, “I never saw anything odd...He was in the Police job (civic volunteer), so he sometimes had a day shift or sometimes a night shift. So, I never saw him...I never heard anything about him that he got into a fight or anything...I don't know whether he has done anything.”
Doctors from RG Kar Hospital 'not satisfied' after CBI meeting on Kolkata rape-murder case, he said, "Our delegation of five people who went to meet the CBI at CGO Complex yesterday, did not get any satisfactory answer even from there. Our only demand is justice."
"We told the CBI that the motive behind our ongoing protest is justice, which is in your hands because all of you are investigating officers. So the sooner you can tell us who were involved, we can set the direction our protest. They told us to just keep faith in them. We also asked about the time limit, the CBI said it is not possible but as soon as possible."
