Sachin Tendulkar Praises Mohammed Siraj’s “Persistence Rewarded”: Mohammed Siraj has stolen the show in the second Test of the ‘Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy’ against England at Edgbaston. On the third day, he took 6 wickets for 70 runs in 19.3 overs and was the star of India’s bowling.
Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar has praised him on his social media. Sachin has asked what has changed in Siraj’s bowling since Bumrah was not there.
“The biggest change I’ve noticed in Siraj has been his accuracy and consistency in landing the ball in the right areas. His persistence has been rewarded with 6 wickets. Very ably supported by Akash Deep as well. Well done!," Sachin posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“Special partnership between Brook and Smith, who were under pressure and counterattacked beautifully to bring England much closer to India’s total than one would’ve expected," he added.

Thanks to Siraj, India got a 180-run lead as England were bowled out for 407 in 89.3 overs.
Siraj was under the scanner before the start of the match as a few critics even questioned his place in the XI after the Leeds debacle, but the 31-year-old has silenced his doubters at Edgbaston.
Despite the 303-run stand between Harry Brook (158) and Jamie Smith (184*), which had briefly tilted the game in England’s favour, Mohammed Siraj held his nerve and stuck to his task. With the second new ball in hand, the pacer showed his skill and composure and quickly wrapped up the tail. He got rid of Brydon Carse, Josh Tongue, and Shoaib Bashir in a decisive burst which halted England’s charge and gave India back control of the game.

The Indian great also praised England’s batting duo - Harry Brook and Jamie Smith for their big hundreds, which got England back in the game.
"Special partnership between Brook and Smith, who were under pressure and counterattacked beautifully to bring England much closer to India’s total than one would’ve expected," he added.
At Stumps, India were 64 for 1 in their second innings, leading by 244 runs. KL Rahul (28) and Karun Nair (7) were at the crease. India looks determined to level the series and stop England from dominating.
