Rohit Sharma Joins Virat Kohli in T20 International Retirement: The India T20 team captain Rohit Sharma has also announced his retirement from the T20 international cricket soon after Virat Kohli's retirement announcement when he was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
As India won the T20 World Cup after 17 years, along with King Kholi, Rohit also took a forever break from the T20 series.
But he revealed he will continue with his passion for cricket and will play for India in the Test and ODI formats.
Soon after the match finished, Rohit while addressing a press conference, he said, “This was my last game as well. No better time to say goodbye to this format. I've loved every moment of this. I started my India career playing this format. This is what I wanted, I wanted to win the cup.”

“I wanted this badly. Very hard to put in words. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was very desperate for this title in my life. Happy that we eventually crossed the line.”

Rohit is also known as the batter for his record-breaking achievement of almost 50 centuries scored in T20 internationals.
Since he started his T20 International carrer, Rohit has been an important player for the team as his efforts have led the team to win two T20 World Cup trophies.
Fans are not happy with his retirement but his retirement could have a positive effect, it might give him time to work on ODIs and Tests as the final of both the Champions Trophy and the World Test Championship is next year.
