RCB Marketing Head, 3 Others Remanded to Judicial Custody in Bengaluru Stampede Case

The police have said, that the arrests were made following a joint operation by Cubbon Park police and the Central Crime Branch (CCB), just as they were about to leave to Mumbai at Kempegowda International Airport.
Police identified the other three arrested as Sunil Matthew, Kiran and Sumanth, employees with DNA Entertainment. The accused are being interrogated at the Cubbon Park Police Station by the Seshadripuram Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Raids were carried out at the homes of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) secretary Shankar and treasurer Jayaram.

As per the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the police, the RCB franchise and DNA Entertainment went ahead and organized a “victory celebration”, even after being denied official permission for the event. The event was publicized on social media channels by Sosale and the official RCB handle.
A post in particular, which said that free tickets would be handed out at Gates 9 and 10 of the stadium on Wednesday at 1 p.m. caused sheer chaos when the crowds deviated. Police stated, mounted police were called in to control hundreds of people lined just waiting to get in despite no plan for a ticket allotment and only three of the stadium's 21 gates opened, creating a situation that could not be handled.

The post was deleted shortly thereafter, but hunderds of thousands had already entered the stadium grounds. "DNA acted on Sosale's instructions," police said in the FIR.
On Thursday, CM Siddaramaiah announced the suspension of five senior police officers, including B Dayananda police commissioner of Bengaluru and DCP(Central) Ramesh Banoth, for significant fracas in crowd management.
