Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt & Vicky Kaushal to Shoot ‘Love & War’ at MP’s British-Era Army Base

The most anticipated period film Love & War directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali at present is at the head of another touch of shooting in Madhya Pradesh. Having shot much of the film in Mumbai and having sequences mapped out in Europe, the film is going to shoot at the period army base of British times found in the town of Mhow to get the period locales the film will demand.

Sources who have visited the set of the film said that one area that the movie makers have selected as a principal spot in trying to show what artillery and military life was like during the pre- independence days is the town of Mhow, which was home to the colonial military cultures. The fact that the place has preserved the British army base establishes a perfect setting that is in line with the history of the film.

“The team will be shooting for close to 15 days here, with major portions requiring Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor. As of now, they are on standby waiting for the permissions. Once that is cleared, they will fly to MP to kick-start the shoot," said an insider to India Today.

Mhow or Dr Ambedkar Nagar as it is known after its most illustrious son Dr B.R. Ambedkar, is situated some 23 kilometers earlier than Indore. The town was established in 1818 by John Malcolm and in the British rule it used to be the headquarters of the 5th (Mhow) Division of the Southern Command. It now continues to be an important hub of the Indian Army headquarters where three of the best institutions producing military talent are located.

Mhow is popularly interpreted as meaning of Military Headquarters Of Warfare, which was ever martially to be significant.

After besieging Madhya Pradesh, the Love & War crew will visit Italy in October to shoot again. The film intends to deliver shooting by the year 2025, although there are some reports of it being hoped that it would start shooting earlier.

Love & War is supposedly a love story that takes place in the context of a fictional war and in it, the exquisiteness of friendship, relationships and sacrifice is said to be developed. It features an actual couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt with Vicky Kaushal. This next one will be in 2026.
