Rajasthan Shocker: Woman bites off husband's tongue during a domestic quarrel in Bakani town of Jhalawar district out of fury during discussion with him.
The incident took place around Thursday night, but the police received the information on Friday evening and registered the case under Sections 115(2) and 118(2) of the BNS Act against the accused lady, whose name is Ravina Sain (23), daughter-in-law of Kanhayalal Sain (25). The investigation has been initiated.

"Kanhayalal, who is a resident of Bakani town, and Ravina, being a native of nearby Sunel village, were married about one and a half years ago. However, problems in the relation led to frequent disputes," said Assistant Sub-Inspector Brijraj Singh of Bakani on Saturday.
The quarrel erupted late on Thursday night and Ravina was reported to have bitten off the top part of her husband's tongue out of anger. However, it has not been confirmed whether teeth or a sharp object was used in the act; as per the first information received, Singh said that it was bitten off.

Family members rushed Kanhayalal, along with the severed portion of his tongue, to a local hospital. He was later referred to Jhalawar Medical College Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. According to relatives, doctors have indicated that the severed part may be reattached through surgery.
After this, Ravina locked herself in a room and tried to cut her wrist with a sickle in a suicide attempt. Later, family members calmed her, and the family, with assurances that no action would be taken against her, convinced her to open the door.
The complainant brother Kanhaylal has filed a complaint at the police station at about midnight on Friday. In this case, Ravina has been booked under Section 115(2) and Section 118(2) of the BNS Act. Waiting for the victim's statement, as she is undergoing treatment. ASI.
