Rahul Gandhi to Launch ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar on August 17
Speaking at a press conference here, former state Congress president Akhilesh Prasad Singh said Gandhi, who was made the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will embark on a yatra on Sunday to raise the issue of alleged attack on people right to vote by special intensive revision of electoral roles in Bihar, a senior party leader said on Saturday.
Also speaking here, at a press conference, former state Congress president Akhilesh Prasad Singh said that Gandhi the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, would be in the state more than two weeks till the ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ reaches its culmination with a rally in Patna on September 1.

“Tomorrow, Gandhi will launch the yatra from Sasaram. All the necessary permission has been obtained from the authorities concerned. The yatra will build a tempo in favour of the INDIA bloc ahead of the assembly polls,” the Rajya Sabha MP said.
In response to a question, he stated Gandhi was expected to spend almost 15 days in Bihar to front the yatra to be covering 25 districts of the state with three rest days on 20th, 25th and 31st Aug.

“At Sasaram, Rahul Gandhi is likely to be joined by Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, besides our other alliance partners, including three Left parties. For the final rally in Patna on September 1, we will try to bring leaders of as many like-minded parties as possible,” Singh said.
Speaking at a press conference here, former state Congress president Akhilesh Prasad Singh said Gandhi, who was made the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, would probably spend more than two weeks in the state, the tour culminating with a rally in Patna on September 1.
