Prakash Raj Hits Back at Pawan Kalyan Over ‘Movie Dub’ Remark: ‘Don’t Impose Hindi on Us’
Prakash Raj mentioned that opposition for a language is not out of hate, but for "protecting our tongue and cultural identity".

Prakash Raj Hits Back at Pawan Kalyan Over ‘Movie Dub’ Remark: Pawan Kalyan, Andhra Pradesh's deputy chief minister, is now attracting ire from opposition parties and netizens alike after his remarks on the Hindi language. Even actor-j-politician-Prakash Raj has joined in attacking the Jana Sena president.
In a post on X, Prakash Raj slammed Kalyan for trying to "impose Hindi on others".
"Don't impose your Hindi language on us. It is not about hating another language; it is about protecting our mother tongue and our cultural identity with self-respect. Someone, please explain this to Pawan Kalyan garu."

Speaking further in his address to the party's 12th foundation day celebration in Pithampuram, Kakinada, Kalyan condemned Tamil Nadu politicians for "hypocrisy" about alleged Hindi imposition in the state and asked why do they allow Tamil films to be dubbed in Hindi.
At the moment, the being-rounded argument among the states, Tamil Nadu, is that of a language imposition and was provoked by the three-language policy in National Education Policy 2020.
Also, Kalyan added that "while Tamil Nadu leaders oppose Hindi, they allow dubbing Tamil movies in Hindi for profit".
"I do not understand why some criticise Sanskrit. Why do Tamil Nadu politicians oppose Hindi while allowing their movies to be dubbed in Hindi for financial gain? They want money from Bollywood but refuse to accept Hindi--what kind of logic is that?" Kalyan asked.
For the upcoming major opposition of AIADMK in Tamil Nadu, the most influential political party, it has played against both the DMK government and Kalyan's remarks. AIADMK national spokesperson Kovai Sathyan told news agency ANI that while MK Stalin-led DMK has taken the NEP as a "political opportunity to play dirty politics", Kalyan "is linking business with the cultural fabric of Tamil Nadu".

His claim is that his party and the state view NEP as a backdoor entry for Hindi "to sneak in and dominate in due course of time," which was "already done by the central government and its agencies in Tamil Nadu".
Meanwhile, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) national spokesperson Vinod Bansal backed Kalyan. He told news agency ANI, "People who have attained a constitutional position by taking an oath to maintain the country's sovereignty (Tamil Nadu government), should at least understand that they are protesting against national emblems... This is not just an insult to the symbol; it is also an insult to the talent."
He stated that those leaders who oppose Hindi want to "divide the country into North and South sect" whereas, according to him, they won't be successful at all. Bansal said the people of Tamil Nadu will themselves reject such persons (the political leaders).
