PM Modi to Release Rs 20,000 Cr to Farmers: PM Kisan 17th Installment Date Announced for June 18, 2024
PM Kisan Scheme was launched in 2019 by PM Narendra Modi in Uttar Pradesh. This program was introduced to provide assistance to farmers by giving them a sum of Rs 6000 a year in three equal payments to help with their money problems.

PM Modi to Release Rs 20 Cr to Farmers: PM Narendra Modi is all set to announce the 17th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme at Varanasi.
PM Modi will visit his constituency Varanasi on June 18 during which Modi will announce the installment PM-KISAN plan, which is worth over Rs 20,000 crore and will help 9.26 crore farmers across the country.
This is noted as the first big step after Mofi returned to power for the third consecutive time.
More than 30,000 members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have been trained as "Krishi Sakhis" and will be given certificates by Modi. These 30,000 members who have been trained to help as para-extension workers and help other farmers with farming techniques.
The certification process is organized by The Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and the Government of Uttar Pradesh and will be attended by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is the Union Minister for Agriculture, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath, and other Ministers from the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
In a statement, Union Minister of Agriculture sector, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Agriculture has always been a priority for the PM in his last two tenures. He made several key decisions in the interest of farmers. After taking oath as PM, Modi ji first signed a file related to the release of the 17th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme.”

About the PM Kisan Scheme
PM Kisan Scheme was launched in 2019 by PM Narendra Modi in Uttar Pradesh. This program was introduced to provide assistance to farmers by giving them a sum of Rs 6000 a year in three equal payments to help with their money problems.
The payment is directly transferred to their bank accounts linked with the Aadhar card, these farmers receive Rs 2000 in three equal payments to make it Rs 6000 in a year.
Union Minister of Agriculture sector, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that since the scheme has been introduced, it has given over Rs 3.04 lakh crore to more than 11 crore farmers across the country.
