PM Modi Offers Zelenskyy Personal Help: On Friday, in the presence of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he would like to help as a friend to bring peace between Russia and Ukraine.
This major remark by Modi to bring a peace treaty between the fighting countries that he has now visited twice in six weeks.
On Friday, Modi said to Zelenskyy, “I want to assure you that India is ready to play an active role in every effort for peace. If I can personally contribute to this, I would definitely like to do so. As a friend, I assure you of this.
Modi also added that maintaining territorial integrity is very important. He told Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, in Moscow that there is no solution to the problem on the battlefield.
He further added, ”Dialogue and diplomacy is required and both sides must move forward on it.”

PM Modi said that he wants to spread the message of peace as India is the birth of Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi who fought for peace.
He said, “Our approach is to be on the side of peace…we want to be away from war.”
Foreign minister S Jaishankar also added that Modi told Zelenskyy, “If there is anything that we can do, in any way, (you know) in sort of upfront or behind or supporting somebody, it is the objective that we are interested in rather than the process — we are willing to do whatever we can. Because we think continuation of this conflict is terrible for Ukraine itself, and the world.”
Modi also pointed out that seeing children dying in the conflict hurt him a lot. He also said that innocent children are always the first victims of war, which is very painful.
The PM added, “In any civilised world with regard for human values, such incidents are unacceptable.”
Jaishankar said that Ukraine wants India to take part in the "peace summit." He also said that the joint statement from both sides mentioned the UN Charter and "respect for territorial integrity."

The joint states also added, “India’s willingness to contribute in all possible ways to facilitate an early return to peace.”
In a meeting, the Foreign Minister also added, “The PM reiterated India’s willingness to facilitate an early return to peace. Both sides need to engage with each other to find a solution.”
Jaishankar at last added that both PM Modi and Zelenskyy had a detailed discussion about the conflict.
