PM Modi Highlights US-India AI Power: PM Modi is speaking at Nassau Coliseum in New York. He landed in New York on Sunday to attend the Summit of the Future (SOTF) at the United Nations.
PM Modi started his 3 day US visit on Saturday by attending the Quad summit in Wilmington, Delaware. He said the Quad is not against anyone, but for a rules-based international order and respect for sovereignty.
“Free, open, inclusive and prosperous Indo-Pacific is our priority,” Modi said in his opening remarks, in a veiled reference to China, at the summit hosted by President Joe Biden."

"The Quad meeting was also attended by Australian PM Anthony Albanese and Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, with whom Modi later had bilateral meetings. On the sidelines of the Quad Leaders’ Summit in Wilmington, Modi attended the Quad Cancer Moonshot event hosted by Biden.
In his speech he thanked President Biden for his thoughtfulness on preventing, detecting and treating cervical cancer and said this is a big health issue. As India’s contribution to the Cancer Moonshot, PM Modi also announced a $7.5 million grant for cancer testing, screening and diagnostics in the Indo-Pacific region.
Besides discussing areas of shared interest, President Biden visited PM Modi at his Greenville home on the sidelines of the Quad. The two leaders also talked about regional and global issues, especially the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
“They expressed confidence in the strength and continuing resilience of the relationship and their belief in its significance for all areas of human endeavour between the two countries,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.
Earlier on Saturday, PM Modi received a rousing welcome in the US state of Philadelphia. “The Indian community has distinguished itself in the USA, making a positive impact across diverse sectors. It’s always a delight to interact with them,” the Prime Minister said in a post on X.
