Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE: Amit Shah Introduces 3 Bills, Sent to Joint Parliamentary Committee
Amit Shah brought a bill that sought to have a removal of elected representatives who happened to be arrested or detained on grave criminal charges out of office.

To get an elected representative out of office, the Bills, introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will mandate that the official will have to be arrested or in detention on any serious criminal offence. The Prime Minister, Union ministers, Chief Ministers and ministers of Union Territories will be enveloped in the proposed law.
The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill 2025, the Constitution (One Hundred And Thirtieth Amendment) Bill 2025, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill 2025 were brought by Mr Shah.

In the morning, the Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also proposed Online Promotion and Regulation of Gaming Bill, 2025, in Parliament. It is proposed that the Bill should encourage and control the online games industry, e-sports, educational games and socially-focused games. However, the opposition persistently protested over a discussion on the revision of Bihar voter list which resulted in the suspension of the House.
A bill providing establishment of Indian Institute of management (IIM) in Guwahati was passed by Rajya Sabha with a capital support of Rs 550 crore by the Union government.

Commenting on the debate in the house on the bill, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan added that this gives us the 8th IIM under the Narendra Modi-led government in the last 10 years. "The 21st IIM in the country will be set up in Guwahati at an investment of Rs 550 crore," the minister said.
Three bills will be referred to the Joint Parliamentary Committee, which are the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The report will report on the opening day of the next session of Parliament.
