To get an elected representative out of office, the Bills, introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will mandate that the official will have to be arrested or in detention on any serious criminal offence. The Prime Minister, Union ministers, Chief Ministers and ministers of Union Territories will be enveloped in the proposed law.

The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill 2025, the Constitution (One Hundred And Thirtieth Amendment) Bill 2025, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill 2025 were brought by Mr Shah.

It is proposed that the Bill should encourage and control the online games industry, e-sports, educational games and socially-focused games. However, the opposition persistently protested over a discussion on the revision of Bihar voter list which resulted in the suspension of the House.

A bill providing establishment of Indian Institute of management (IIM) in Guwahati was passed by Rajya Sabha with a capital support of Rs 550 crore by the Union government.
