Painter Arrested for Stealing ₹1 Lakh Earrings, ₹35,000 Cash from Poonam Dhillon’s Home
That Poonam Dhillon actually hired the accused in between December 28th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, to carry out the job and steal the items from a lockup cupboard.

Painter Arrested for Stealing: The 37-year-old man was arrested allegedly stealing a diamond earring worth ₹1 lakh, cash worth ₹35,000, and 500 dollars from actor Poonam Dhillon's house in New Mumbai. News agency PTI, as per the police, said that Sameer Ansari was appointed to paint the flat of the actor in Khar.

Artist burgles riches, heaps cash from home of Poonam Dhillon.
He was employed for the period of December 28, 2024, to January 5, 2025. According to a police official, thief was snatched from an unlocked cupboard. The accused was arrested on Monday.
Police arrested the accused
He spent ₹9,000 to entertain other team members who worked to paint the flat. They said that police managed to recover Rupee 25,000 cash, plus USA 500 and the diamond earring.
The theft came to light when Poonam's son Anmol returned from Dubai on January 5, following which her manager Sandesh Chaudhary lodged a police complaint.

Although the actor mostly lives in her Juhu house, sometimes she stays at her Khar flat with her son. The accused has been arrested under the pertinent sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation was underway, the official added.

The actor is best known from the film Noorie in 1979. Some of her famous films also include Red Rose (1980), Dard (1981), Romance (1983), Sohni Mahiwal (1984), Teri Meherbaniyan (1985), Samundar (1986), Saveraywali Gaadi (1986), Karma (1986), Naam (1986), and Maalamaal (1988). She graced the show Bigg Boss in 2009.
She also dushed over some serials and web series including Kittie Party, running from 2002 to 2004, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan from 2013 to 2014, Dil Hi Toh Hai, and Dil Bekaraar (2021). Last year, Poonam was made the president of the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA).
