Over suspicion of having non-vegetarian food near the temple, a man was beaten to death

Ghaziabad Police have detained three people for reportedly beating a man to death outside a temple on suspicion of eating non-vegetarian food. The victim, Praveen Saini, and two of his pals, Devendra and Vinod, were eating on the Gangnahar ghat when they were approached by the accused, and the argument became violent, according to police.

Nitin, the primary accused, is currently on leave from the Army, according to police. Aakash and Ashwini have been named as the other two suspects. Praveen (22) is from Meerut and worked as a cleaner at the temple and neighbouring stores, according to authorities.

“The defendants were inebriated and began causing a commotion before assaulting Praveen and his friends with sticks and rods, causing significant injuries. “We have apprehended three suspects and are continuing our investigation,” said Kamlesh Narain Pandey, Sadar Circle Officer.

The three were eating on the Gangnahar ghat when the accused approached them, according to police. They showed them the package and informed them that they were eating vegetarian meals.

The accused escaped on a scooter following the incident, according to police.

“They ordered soya chaap and onions with roti, according to the restaurant bill. “We have surveillance tape that shows the two groups bickering for about half an hour before to the assault,” Pandey said.
