Over 50 Pilgrims Hospitalized After Eating ‘Bhagar’ in Nanded, 4 Critical: More than 50 Pilgrims were rushed to the hospital Sunday after food poisoning stemming from 'bhagar' (barnyard millet) and peanut paste during a pilgrimage in Nanded district, Maharashtra, said the police official. Four of them are believed to be in critical condition.

The incident took place in Mahur, the official added.
“After having bhagar and peanut paste on Ekadashi on Saturday night, some 50 devotees who had come for Thakur Buwa pilgrimage here started vomiting this morning” the official said.
All the pilgrims have been sent to Mahur hospital.
The police official said, “They were rushed to Mahur rural hospital. The condition of four was critical. However, doctors have now said all the patients are fine and would be discharged soon.”
A health scare at Mahatma Jyothibapule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential School & Jr. College (Girls) on Sunday in Karimnagar Town, Telangana, saw 31 students being hospitalised.

As reported from the Karimnagar District Hospital, the students complaining of stomach pain were admitted early in the morning with more coming later in the day.
Twenty-three students arrived at the hospital around 3:30 am after complaining of mild abdominal pain and vomiting. After observing them for six hours, the doctors decided to treat them with IV fluids and antibiotics before discharging them.
A second group of eight students arrived at the hospital in the afternoon with similar complaints and were treated on a routine basis and discharged without complication.
