Outrage Erupts as Pet Dog Attacks Teen Girl in Noida Housing Society Lift: As the dog attack menace continues unabated in housing societies, a young girl was attacked by a pet dog inside a lift in a posh Noida building.

CCTV cameras installed inside the lift captured the entire incident.

Sharing the video an X user wrote, "A girl in Uttar Pradesh's Noida was attacked by a dog inside the lift of a housing society. The girl was bitten on the arm by the dog during the incident, and the entire ordeal was caught on a CCTV camera"

As the girl tries to get out of the lift, a brown pet dog runs inside and bites her. The pet owner, startled, jumps into action and separates the dog from the girl.

When the dog runs out, the owner is seen outside the lift. The girl quickly presses the ground floor key, but the door opens as soon as she does.

After the owner is no longer visible, the dog tries to enter the lift again. In a few moments, the girl exits on the ground floor, rubbing her injured arm.

Social media has been flooded with videos of the incident, which happened on May 3 but only came to light on Tuesday.

It happened in Sector 107, Noida, at Lotus-300 society.

A user commented on the video, “It's high time Noida administration and RWA have policies regarding domestic dogs and stray dogs, because otherwise children will suffer.” Another user commented, “Pet owners should be imposed a minimum fine of Rs 50,000/- apart from medical expenses, if their pets cause injury to others.”

In a similar incident, a German Shepherd attacked a six-year-old girl riding her bicycle at the Ajnara Integrity Society in Ghaziabad last month.

At a park in Chennai, a five-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after being attacked by two pet Rottweiler dogs.

In less than two months, the Central government recommended banning several dangerous dog breeds, including the Rottweiler, Pitbull, American Bulldog, and others.
