Kolkata Police Calls Out X User To Disclosure Identity: After sharing a spoof video on CM Mamata Banerjee on the microblogging platform, Kolkata Police's official X account requested that the user reveal his name and residence.

In the tweet, the official X account of the DCP Crime Branch of Kolkata Police said, "You are directed to immediately reveal your identity, including your name and residence. If the information sought is not disclosed, you shall be liable for legal action under Section 42 CrPC."

In the video, Mamta Banerjee was dubbed in place of Lily Yachty, an American rapper whose lampard walking into Cobham concert went viral. Mamta Banerjee was seen doing the Lampard walking as she walked onto the stage.

Mamata Banerjee's dancing video went viral on social media and was retweeted over 400 times.

“It has been observed that you are using social media for posting offensive, malicious and inciting posts,” a notice to the said user by Kolkata Police said. “You are hereby directed to delete the above-mentioned post and also refrain from such acts failing which you will be liable for strict penal action under the relevant provision of laws.”

A woman was arrested in 2019 for sharing a MET Gala meme about West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on social media.

TMC leader Vibhas Hazra filed a complaint against BJYM convenor Priyanka Sharma in Howrah for allegedly sharing a morphed picture of Mamata Banerjee.

A MET Gala 2019 meme superimposed Mamata's face onto Priyanka Chopra's body. She was arrested and brought before the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court in Howrah.

According to the complaint, this act violated community guidelines and was viewed as violent.
