“They (Pakistan) didn’t even acknowledge at first that anything had happened in Pahalgam. Instead, they were the first to say that India had orchestrated it. Now, when those who initially blamed us are making statements, it’s difficult to say anything further. I don’t want to comment on their remarks. What happened is very unfortunate and should not have happened,” Omar told media persons.
On Saturday, amid increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan was open to executing an inquiry into the killing of 26 people in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam by "neutral and transparent means".
As per reports shared with Dawn, an address made by Shehbaz Sharif during a passing-out celebration at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, said: “The recent tragedy in Pahalgam is yet another example of this perpetual blame game, which must come to a grinding halt. Continuing with its role as a responsible country, Pakistan is open to participating in any neutral, transparent and credible investigation.”

Following the terrifying incident in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 people, India has been taking initiatives against Pakistan, which include suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, shutting down the Attari Integrated Check Post, and canceling the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) for Pakistani citizens.
The Resistance Front (TRF) which is a proxy group of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba based in Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam terror attack. Investigations found that Adil Ahmed Thoker, a major suspect in the Pahalgam terror attack, was involved in military training in Pakistan before entering India along with other terrorists.
Meanwhile, in an ongoing scenario of tensions, Pakistani troops have again started firing unprovoked as they have been doing so all along on the other side of the Line of Control. For the second consecutive night, the Indian Army sites were targeted by the Pakistani army, which prompted an appropriate response from the Indian Forces.
