‘No Evidence’: Lokayukta Police Issues Clean Chit for Siddaramaiah & Wife in MUDA Case
They gave them clear chit: Karnataka Lokayukta Police to chief minister Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathy and two others in MUDA site allotment case.

‘No Evidence’: At a hearing before the Karnataka high court on Wednesday, the Karnataka Lokayukta police settled the case of site allotment from Mysore Urban Development Authority with their final report, in which they gave clean chit to the chief minister Siddaramaiah and his wife BM Parvathi among others for 'lack of evidence.' Two others were also accused by them in the case.
These include Siddaramaiah's brother-in-law (Parvathi's brother) Mallikarjuna Swamy, and Devaraju, a land owner.

"Since the above allegations against accused-1 to accused-4 in the case have not been proven due to lack of evidence, the final report is being submitted to the high court," the Lokayukta police said in a letter to activist Snehamayi Krishna, a complainant in the MUDA case, news agency PTI reported.
“Further investigation will be conducted into the allegations of MUDA providing compensatory plots in the ratio of 50:50 from 2016 to 2024, and an additional final report will be submitted to the high court,” the letter said.
The other day saw the Karnataka high court rejecting a plea to transfer the case to the country's premier investigative agency-Central Bureau of Investigation, which functions under the federal government.

According to the complainants in the case pertaining to MUDA, compensatory sites were allotted to BM Parvathi in a posh part of Mysuru, but as there had been much higher returns in property values, it was ceded compared to the location of her land which had been acquired' by the MUDA.
The allotment of plots to Parvathi under a scheme on 50:50 basis was in lieu of her 3.16 acres of land where the MUDA has developed a residential layout.
This scheme is controversial wherein the title holders are to be provided with 50 percent of land developed in form of residential layouts in lieu of undeveloped land acquired from them.
It was claimed that this area of 3.16 acres under survey number 464 of Kasare village, Kasaba hobli, Mysore taluk was not owned by Parvathi legally.
