NIA Releases New Photos of Rameshwaram Cafe Blast Suspect: To find out more about the Rameshwaram Cafe blast accused, the NIA has released new images and announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh. On the same day, the probe agency arrested a key conspirator in Bengaluru's cafe blast case who had allegedly provided logistic support to the other two accused of the IED explosion.
According to a post on X, the agency requested information on Mussavir Hussain Shazib alias Shazeb and Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa alias Abdul Matheen Taha.
Mussavir has been using forged driving licenses in the name of Mohammed Juned Sayed or other similar forged ID documents to conceal his identity.
According to the report, Abdul Matheen Ahmed Tahaa used Hindu identity documents forged Adhaar in the name of Vignesh.
On March 3, the NIA took over the case after identifying Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain as the main suspect. The blast occurred on March 1, during the busy lunch hour, injuring at least nine people.
As a result of the cafe explosion, Bengaluru Police filed a case under the rigorous Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosive Substances Act.
According to sources, the anti-terrorism agency detained two more suspects in connection with the blast case on Thursday.
Sources said the detained persons were associated with the banned Al-Hind Trust and were suspected of being in contact with the bomber.
The explosion was caused by an IED device with a timer, as shown in CCTV footage of the suspect placing a bag inside the cafe.
